'Early April at Le Duc, with spring happening right before my eyes.Everywhere I look there are flowers - vibrant yellows, reds and purples and that incredible new green that is only seen in these first days of spring - all these glimpses of vibrant colour, against the browns and blacks and grays of centurys old buildings, forests, trees and fields. Awesome! And castles everywhere I go ! What a remarkable place for a vacation. Thank you so much . What a fine, fine place to pause in remembering the medieval peoples who lived here, and thinking about those visitors yet to discover Le Duc"

" Really enjoyed our stay here, we would recommend visiting the following;
Gouffre de Padirac, only half hour away but get there early, very long queues. Rocamadour, also very busy but a lovely place, Sarlat Market, Saturday, good for supplies and gifts, a lot of markets for supplies, the creperie around the corner, delicious crepes! Must try the restaurant La Delicieuse (turn left 500m up the road), definitely lived up to its name!
Enjoyed just relaxing by the pool and walking around the gite, Tracy and Della were lovely hosts, very helpful! We hope you enjoy your stay here."

Julie,
We're back from our holiday in France and once again spent a lovely week at Le Duc. Tracey and Della were very welcoming and friendly hosts with a great sense of humour. The children really enjoyed returning to a place they new and we all enjoyed the company of the other guests, which was a real bonus. We really enoyed the little bit of extra space at Le Vieux Sechoir too.
Thank you once again.

We had a really enjoyable holiday in Le Duc. It is a charming setting and we found the Petit Grange an ideal size for 2 people. The standard of fit out and the equipment provided were superb. We really enjoyed the tranquility of the rural setting and of course the pool. And all this was topped off by Tracey and Della whom we found to be the ideal hostesses and who were so eager to help in any way possible. All in all it was a memorable holiday and we are so grateful.
Kind regardsTish and Frank O'Neill

Hi Julie,
We just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful stay at Le Duc - a lovely break from our busy life in London. Bruce and Karen were fantastic and really made our stay extra enjoyable. They were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to look after us and accomodate the whole family - we couldn't have asked for more!
Your place is absolutely lovely and we hope to return sometime - our children are already asking when.
Very best wishes,
Odile (Rosenberg family) - London, UK.

On return from Le Duc, 28 June 2011
It was simply delightful. Karen and Bruce are special people, greeting us perfectly and being there for our every need. It's a marvellous place, so calm and peaceful. It's definitely something I'd recommend! Pool perfectly maintained and at a heated 27 degrees, lovely garden with lots of kids' toys: table tennis, badminton, swings....Everything is fully equipped (kitchen, washing machine...) and the facilities are close by (shop, bakers...).We are really overwhelmed and hope to return as soon as possible. As a large family group we benefitted from having the large place pretty much all to ourselves. The are is really magnificent, you really have to visit: le chateau de Croze, Curemonte, Turenne, colonge la rouge, Rocamadour,....
Thanks for these lovely moments and to Bruce and karen for their kindness

Hi Julie,
We really enjoyed our week at Le Duc and I would love to return with a larger family group (sisters, grandchildren etc) as the gites, gardens and pool are perfect for such a family holiday. Bruce and Karen were most friendly and helpful but never intrusive.

Le Duc was fantastic. The weather the second week was very stormy, but to be honest we didn't mind at all as we had spent the 5 prior weeks in temperatures in the high 30's. The area is certainly rich in things to do!
Karen and Bruce are superb hosts. I am not sure who has come before them, but the entire time that we were there they were both puttering around the place tending to all manner of things. They were always on site and extremely concerned that everyone was looked after. They perform their duties as hosts as I would imagine they would their own home, so I think you are very fortunate to have them looking after le Duc for you.
Thank you for opening le Duc to us. We have taken with us many, many fond memories of our time there.
Sincerely, Stefanie Barilla - Vancouver, Canada.

Maison de la Cour - 2 to 9 July 2011
We really enjoyed our stay in Le Duc. Maison de la Cour was very well equiped . Our daughter loved the pool and there was lots to do in the area. Karen and Bruce made us very welcome and were always available to sort out any issues . I would think they are a huge asset to the place as they manage Le Duc very well. I could see myself returning at some point
Kind regards

All 3 gites and 2 chambres d'hotes - 23 July- 6 August 2011
Now that we have time and a proper machine to type on, we would like to say how much we enjoyed the properties and their zealous and friendly management by Bruce and Karen. The well kept and well mowed lawn was a marvellous gift for the six young children (and their parents and others!), and the salt water in the pool is a vast improvement over chlorine. The houses and rooms are kept very well indeed. We of course only scratched the surface of the surrounding, delightful countryside.
So: warm appreciation and thanks to you, and to Bruce and Karen (who went beyond the call of duty to make things convenient for us).
Best wishes,
Professor John and Marie Finnis, Oxford

The Blue Room Tuesday 9- Saturday 13 August and La Petite Grange Saturday 13 Saturday 20 August 2011
We had a fabulous time. We spent the first four nights in one of the B&B rooms and ate out at the local creperie etc in the evening. In the mornings we bought baguettes to have with our own freshly brewed coffee at the table outside our door, passing the time pleasurably with our neighbours in the adjoining gite while they dined, too. The cottage was lovely, just right for the two of us. We could take in the world from the balcony and especially enjoyed the privacy of the garden, visiting the adjoining pool whenever we felt the wish. In fact we did very little else in terms of being tourists because it was so nice to be there. Bruce and Karen were especially helpful and kept everything under control. Don't be surprised to see us back!
