Holiday Gites in the Dordogne

Le Duc Gites are located on the borders of the Lot, Dordogne and the Corrèze, not far from the Dordogne River between the villages of Les Quatre Routes du Lot and Chauffour ser Vell with the historic villages of Meysacc & Martel nearby.
Le Duc, an old Quercy Farmstead dating in part back to the 13th Century, now consists of three self catering holiday cottages that have been beautifully renovated as Holiday Gites and  two en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor of the main house for Chambres d'hotes or as annex's to the Gites. The Gites and the house are all located around a traditional Courtyard with a large swimming pool in the gardens. While this makes them ideal for group holidays or families, each gite still maintains its individual privacy so they are also suitable for smaller groups or couples.
Le Duc
The Chambres d'hôtes are two twin bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms. They are available to hire on a daily basis at a rate of only 45 Euros per night per room (continental breakfast can be provided on request at an additional 5 Euros per person). Both rooms are situated on the ground floor of the main house and accessed from the courtyard through double French doors. An interconnecting door between the rooms can be unlocked to provide accommodation for 4/5. The rooms are also available as supplemental accommodation for families and party groups using the adjacent gites and are popular with families with older teenagers, grandparents or friends dropping in to visit. They offer a great choice
for people who prefer their own independent sleeping accommodation but wish to remain in close contact with the main party for meals in the gites or relaxing around the pool.
The Dordogne area of France is renowned for its lovely coutryside with an abundance of wild life and historic villages. The towns of Collonges-la-Rouge, Turenne and Martel are nearby the Gites with the medieval towns of Rocamadour, Sarlat and Domme only a short drive away. There are plenty of outdoor activities in the area, Canoeing on the Dordogne River is available six miles away, bicycles can be rented locally to explore the by-ways, and horse trekking is available just a kilometre from the house.
Situated on an ancient Pilgrim Route and the site of a former Monastery, Le Duc was reputedly a stopping off place for the Knights Templar.
